Luggage: Size and weight limits: 

Hurtigruten – they don’t have a strict limit on the ship, HOWEVER, the charter flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia does.  Each person is limited to 1 checked bag, a maximum weight 23kgs (50lbs), 1 carry-on with a maximum weight of 8 kgs (17lbs) (55 x 35 x 25 cms) and a personal item (Eg: laptop bag or purse) only.  This is a HARD rule and you cannot purchase more weight. They will ask people to remove things from their luggage if deemed too heavy.

Aerolineas Argentinas (flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazu) – allows one checked bag up to 33 lbs (15kg) per person.

LATAM (flight from Iguazo to Sao Paulo, and Sao Paulo to Santiago) – checked bags are not included in the economy fare, but they can be purchased either online beforehand or at the airport.

**Tara suggests looking after paying for your baggage beforehand because she thinks there is a bit of savings compared to paying for bags at the airport. Also, then it’s ‘done’ and you won’t have to worry about it when you’re checking in.
